THIS WEEKEND IN CHICAGO - ITS A “HOPPITY-PACKED, BRUNCH-FILLED” WEEKEND!
This last weekend in March brings us an early Easter on Sunday this year as well as many Easter-related activities throughout Chicago and its surrounding suburbs. So, without further ado, I bring you a “Hoppity-Packed, Brunch-Filled” Weekend for everyone!

Easter Egg Hunts

The 6th annual Bunny Rock Chicago 5K and Egg Hunt takes place Saturday beginning at 9:00 a.m. with the 5K and 10:15 a.m. for the egg hunt at Montrose Harbor (600 W. Montrose Ave.) in the Uptown neighborhood. Although the 5K Race is sold out, there still will be various activities available for families and kids of all ages such as an egg hunt with more than 3000 candy filled eggs; a huge live petting zoo with over 20 animals which include ducks, lambs, goats, donkeys and more; opportunities to take a photo with the Easter Bunny and more! Lots of excitement, entertainment and overall fun is in store for all participants!! BTW, for the 5K participants, there’s a post-race party at Rockwood Place (3466 N. Clark St.) with 15% off food and drinks for anyone with a Bunny Rock bib to keep the party going!!!

The Bubbles Academy Egg Hunt also takes place Saturday (2:00 p.m.- 4:00 p.m. & 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m.) at Bubbles Academy (1504 N. Fremont St.) on the Near North Side. This egg hunt takes place in the Chocolate Factory with concerts, tons of egg hunt fun, Oompa open play and pure imagination art projects for a golden experience your kids will truly enjoy!

There’s even an Adult Easter Egg Hunt on Sunday (11:00 a.m.) at Longman & Eagle (2657 N. Kedzie Ave.) in the Logan Square neighborhood with an egg hunt, street vendors and gift baskets for the winners!

Not quite an egg hunt but may be up your alley is Bowling With The Bunny on Sunday (11:00 a.m.) at King’s Bowl (1500 N. Clybourn Ave., #102) in the Lincoln Park neighborhood. Enjoy bowling (your ticket purchase includes one free game of bowling and shoe rental) and photos with the Easter Bunny as well as complimentary pizza and soda. Plus, all those who register will receive a Golden Egg Prize that include prizes of bowling passes or private room parties!

Needless to say, there are many, many more Easter Egg Hunts taking place both Saturday and Sunday and can be checked out right here!

Brunches (wouldn’t be Easter without these!)

The Swedish American Museum (5211 N. Clark St.) in the Andersonville neighborhood will host this Saturday (5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m.) their Påskmiddag: Swedish Easter Buffet! This traditional Easter smörgåsbord will also feature a special Easter egg hunt for the kids as well!!

Bites With The Bunny takes place Saturday (10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.) at NEWCITY Lincoln Park – LYFE Kitchen (1457 N. Halsted St.) in the Lincoln Park neighborhood. An Easter egg hunt will kick-off the festivities on the plaza followed by a variety of delicious bites with the Easter Bunny and photos, an interactive story-telling and arts & crafts!

And, of course, my blog wouldn’t be complete without this link – Chicago’s Easter Brunch Dining Guide at such places as the Chicago Botanic Garden, Brookfield Zoo, Lambs Farm, and even Easter Cruises!
