PORTAGE PARK

LAKEVIEW

LINCOLN SQUARE

Everyone loves a parade!  The German International School Chicago in conjunction with the Dank Haus host the annual Laternenfest and St. Martin's Day Parade.  In Germany, Laternenfest is a festival where kids walk through their towns with lighted laterns on the eve of St. Martin’s fest (Martinstag).  The Chicago celebration includes latern making for the children plus face painting, crafts, sing along and storytelling culminating in a parade.  Sunday 11/10 at 2:30 p.m. at the Dank Haus located at 4740 North Western Avenue. Tickets are $5 per person, children under age 2 are free. Space is limited and tickets must be purchased in advance – there are NO at-the-door sales. EVANSTON
