Think you're clever?  Join the Clever Ape Race this Saturday, September 7, starting at Redmond's Ale House at 10am.  You and your team will go through five challenges.  Upon completing each challenge, you receive a clue to let you know of the mystery location of the post-race jungle-party.  According to the organizers, think of it as "an urban adventure that is equal parts scavenger hunt and ridiculous jungle party.

PORTAGE PARK

The weather has been beautiful and for those of you who love to run in new and interesting locales, join the team at Fleet Feet Sports for a new Historic Run on Sunday, September 8th at 8am.  The run will go beyond the Old Indian Boundary Line along the Chicago River. It's a 3 mile run, making frequent stops and starts at the Fleet Feet in Lincoln Square where a bus will drive you to the route.  Be sure to RSVP.

LOOP

This month marks the 15th Annual World Music Festival in Chicago.  The dates for the festival are September 12-22.  You will receive free admission to various locations throughout the city. A total of 70 events will feature an all-night classical music event at the Chicago Cultural Center, five concerts at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion in Millennium Park as well as the Caravan for Peace.

OLD TOWN

So have you heard that Warby Parker has come to town for a Class Trip?  For those who don't know, Warby Parker is a company who provides fabulous eyewear.  They have taken a yellow school bus and transformed it into "your favorite professor's library, complete with leather sofas, wood paneling, vintage books and more." This evening they are hosting a party at Salvage One from 7-10pm.  Don't miss out.
