Now that Christmas is just 25 days away, you would be pretty hard pressed NOT to find any Holiday Magic because it’s everywhere in Chicago!  Don’t believe me, well take a look --

Random acts of Holidays can be experienced around the Loop through December 22nd at this year’s Winter WonderLoop which includes strolling carolers and bands from local colleges and high schools; street performances from Goodman Theatre and Joffrey Ballet; seasonal displays, decorations, and the 10 Wonders of the Loop; “Herman the German,” Berghoff Restaurant’s mascot, giving away custom steins, ornaments and treats; giveaways of hot beverages, pastries and prizes from Corner Bakery; and Experience Lightscape, introduced last year – this one-of-a-kind light and sound installation creates vibrant patterns of color choreographed to music in 18 sidewalk planters on State Street.  Plus many special offers can be located on their website, so be sure to check back often!

Thousands of Santas will be hitting the pavement at this year’s Santa Hustle 5K at Soldier Field (1410 S. Museum Campus Drive) in the South Loop on Saturday at 9:00 a.m.  All 5K participants will receive a FREE Santa hat and beard along with a Santa long sleeve dri-fit shirt to wear while running.  Outrageous holiday decorations, festive music, an awards ceremony honoring top finishers and a large After Party which includes a buffet and drinks round out this 4th annual event!

Missed the annual tree lighting at Daley Center?  Well, the Roscoe Village Winterfest will be kicking off the holiday season with their annual tree lighting ceremony and late night shopping at one-of-a-kind boutiques on Saturday (5:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m.) at Roscoe and Damen Streets in the Roscoe Village neighborhood.  Then on Sunday (1:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m.) enjoy kids’ activities featuring choirs, trolley and Santa!

It’s a bird, it’s a plane, no, it’s Santa in the Sky!  The John Hancock Observatory (875 N. Michigan Avenue) in the Streeterville neighborhood, along with Santa’s special helper, Seemore Miles, the JHO mascot, will show you some magical holiday fun with FREE fun activities at 1,000 feet every Saturday and Sunday (1:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m.) through December 24th.  And for a real special treat, bring the kids up for Breakfast with Santa which includes a breakfast buffet, family photo and JHO admission – but hurry and book your reservation since it’s always a sell-out!

The ever popular Renegade Craft Fair Holiday Market returns to the Pulaski Park Fieldhouse (1419 W. Blackhawk Street) in the West Loop on Saturday and Sunday (11:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.) for its 7th annual festive affair.  A wide range of wares, from accessories to jewelry, clothing, housewares, bath and body products, paper goods, plush toys, artwork and more will be offered by hundreds of today’s greatest indie makers along with tasty local food, beverages, workshops, DJs and more!  Don’t forget to take advantage of the FREE trolley that will be bringing people to and from the fair at various stops throughout Wicker Park and Bucktown!!

See, I Told You!  Holiday Magic – It’s Everywhere In Chicago!!!
