TECHNOLOGY TIPS – REMEMBER JUST ABOUT EVERYTHING WITH EVERNOTE

When it comes to writing down notes, thoughts or even
birthdays, I'm usually at a loss for a pen and paper when I need it. So I'll grab the nearest thing, usually an
envelope, and write down what I need.
It's not exactly the most effective tool so I've been looking for a new
way to pull everything together.
Last week as I was writing a note on my hand, someone
suggested I look into Evernote.
It's a wonderful application, also web-based, that holds lots of
information where you want it. To me
it's almost like a journal of everything.
For users who have OneNote from Microsoft, this is a similar program
with more functionality.
The system is web-based and will sync with your devices -
computer, smartphone and tablet. The
main hub for your Evernote account is the Web.
Because of this, updates to all devices are happening about every 10-15
minutes. So if you put a note on
Evernote on the web, it will update your computer, phone and tablet with the latest
note information. Now you can make a
grocery list at home and take it with you on your smartphone, or even an image
of the item you want.
Evernote is a free application with lots of add-ons
including Skitch, Evernote Hello, Evernote
Food, Evernote Clearly and Evernote Peek. I've only
brushed through the highlights so take a closer look for yourself.
