KATHY’S HOME & GARDEN TIPS – NINE WAYS TO USE LEMONS TO CLEAN, FRESHEN AND SANITIZE
1.  Quarter a lemon and throw it down the garbage disposal. Run hot water and grind it up. Freshens and cleans marvelously!

2.  Use lemon juice to shine copper, brass and chrome. Dip a cut half of lemon in salt for scrubbing power.

3.  Thinly slice a lemon into a glass bowl of hot water.  Cook on high in the microwave for one minute. Wipe down the microwave with a damp cloth. This cleans and sanitizes.

4.  Squeeze juice into a spray bottle to cut through soap scum and hard water.

5.  No dish soap? Use a lemon half dipped in baking soda to cut through grease and baked on food.

6.  Add one teaspoon juice to a load of laundry to deodorize.

7.  Four tablespoons of juice in a half gallon of water makes great window cleaner.

8.  Halve a lemon and squeeze the juice over a cutting board. Let stand 10 minutes. Use the cut sides to scrub the surface. Rinse in cool water and air dry.

9.  Lemon juice and borax mixed together is a wonderful tile and grout scrubber.

Lemon juice has citric acid that makes deodorizing and sanitizing easy without using harsh chemicals.
