The Lakeview Chamber of Commerce and OnSouthport.com are producing a month-long art installation in the Southport business corridor to promote the neighborhood as a destination for culture. Art will be installed in active storefronts along Southport Avenue (between Belmont and Addison) from July 1-31. The Chamber is looking for artists to collaborate with Southport merchants for an installation within an active storefront. We encourage artists of all levels and media to apply today.

OAK PARK
The Oak Park Historic Preservation District is considering a plan to redraw the boundaries for the Frank Lloyd Wright district, which includes homes designed by the renowned architect and others built in the Prairie School-style. While not all homes are Wright designs, there are about 1,500 structures in the existing district and all need to comply with historic preservation rules and standards.
