This Sunday, September 12, Wilbur Wright College will be hosting their 43rd Annual Craft Fair.  The fair takes place at the Events Building on 4300 N. Narragansett from 10am to 5pm.  The festival is being held indoors and offers free parking and entry to the public.  The event is sponsored by the Wright College Center for Lifelong Learning.

LAKEVIEW

Get your tickets now for the Lake View Citizens' Council (LVCC) Wine Tasting Reception.  The event is on September 19 from 2-5pm at the Captain Morgan's Club, Wrigley Field.  Cost is $20 per person.

LVCC is a grass roots community organization that strives to promote the quality of life in the community. The funds raised provide educational programs to residents and business members, mittens/gloves to underprivileged children in the neighborhood, purchase custom made bicycles for the police to use on patrol, provide health care forums for the community, assist local charities to raise funds and a variety of other programs.

SOUTH LOOP

Mayor Daley announced on Tuesday that he will not seek another term.  Mayor Daley put it best.  "Today, I am announcing that I will not seek a seventh term as mayor of the city of Chicago. Simply put, it's time. Time for me. And time for Chicago to move on," said Daley, 68, who will surpass his father as Chicago's longest-serving mayor in December.

GOLD COAST

Jamie Dimon's home is now for sale at a discounted price.  The JPMorgan Chase CEO has cut the price on his eight-bedroom, nine-bath Chicago mansion by $2.6 million for an asking price of $6.95 million.  This luxurious home has such wonderful amenities as a gym, wine vault and a master bedroom which encompasses the entire second floor.  The photos for the property are quite impressive.

OAK PARK

This Saturday residents of Oak Park/River Forest have many festivals to choose from and enjoy.  There's the annual Clear Sky Festival at Keystone Park from 2-6pm, which focuses on not only fun but safety.  If you're not as close to this park, try the BarrieFest at Barrie Park from 2-6pm, which celebrates southeast Oak Park.  For a more artistic flair, try the Art on Harrison from noon to 7pm, which is the annual fall art show of the Oak Park Arts District.
