TECHNOLOGY TIPS - APPLE TO MAKE NEW ANNOUNCEMENTS
In an effort to continually stay ahead of the game, Apple is due to unveil its latest iPhone. The annual developers' conference is currently in San Francisco with Steve Jobs due to make the announcement.
The expectations for the new iPhone are that it will have a front facing camera, longer battery life, better screen and be marginally faster. Another announcement that has been in the gossip is that Verizon will introduce iPhone possibly as early as this fall. Analysts believe it won't be ready until next year.
The iPhone 3G appears to be discontinued as it was no longer for sale as of this past Friday. With this discontinuation and the anticipated introduction, the iPhone 3Gs is expected to see a starting price reduction to $99 from the current price of $199.
Apple's stock has seen a 20% gain this calendar year, placing it as the top technology stock in the world over Microsoft Corp.
