Running through Mother's Day at The Gift Theatre is a current rendition of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. As someone who saw Jack Nicholson make this production famous, it's great to see it come to live theater. Following the disciplined life of Nurse Ratched and ruminating with Chief Bromden while they both tolerate Randall P. McMurphy is a true rebellion worth watching.
LAKEVIEW
It's time to take in some theater. Opening night is Thursday at Red Tape Theater where you can see The Love of the Nightingale. Two sisters completely devoted to one another attempt to reunite with each other. The ensemble cast brings the viewer into a complex world you'll definitely be discussing later in to the night. The theater is located at 621 W. Belmont in the heart of Lakeview East.

Are you a fan of "30 Rock?" If so, Friday night is the time to get over to the Chicago Theatre where Tracy Morgan will be doing his stand-up comedy act. Morgan was nominated for his first Emmy this year and is also remembered for his time while on Saturday Night Live. Not one to remain stagnant long, Morgan is also featured in two movies currently showing, "Cop Out" and "Death at a Funeral."

Who doesn't like a good challenge of the sexes? Now playing at The House Theatre of Chicago is Girls vs. Boys. This group of teenagers loves their partying ways - drinking, drugs, sex. During the course of this intense evening, the ensemble cast will make choices more daring and lethal all for love.
NAPERVILLE
The College of Dupage McAninch Arts Center continues to bring an amazing and well-rounded group of performance arts to the Naperville area. Thursday night showcases the Concert Choir/Chamber Singers. Sunday you can delight to the sounds of DuPage Chorale. Opening May 6 the Buffalo Theatre Ensemble presents On Golden Pond. Relive the caustic quips Norman Thayer delivers while trying to mend fences with his daughter.
