TECHNOLOGY TIPS - AVG ANTI-VIRUS UPDATE CONFLICTS WITH QUICKBOOKS (ERROR CODE -6094,0)
Today a fix for QuickBooks Pro was announced by AVG Anti-Virus.
AVG Anti-Virus released a new update last Friday that created a conflict with QuickBooks Pro. If you use the program at all you'll need to make some changes to your security settings. Be assured that these changes will not impact the security if your computer but will help you be able to use your QuickBooks program with issue.
First you'll need to update your AVG program. To do this, open the AVG User Interface by right-mouse click on the icon in the start-up tray (where the clock is in the lower right-hand corner). Once the interface is open, click on the button to the left called "Update." Next, you'll need to restore QuickBooks files that were quarantined or repair the QuickBooks program.
