The iPad has brought new commercials highlighting some really great applications you can add to your PDA. Below are just a small sampling of some applications that work on iPhone, Blackberry or Droid.
Shazam is an app that identifies music anywhere. If you are listening to music, you hold your phone up to a speaker and the app will tell you the name of the artist, the title of the song and with certain phones you can download the music right there.
Waze is a great local app that is powered by the users of this application. If you want to have the most optimal commute, this program helps you build and use live maps, real-time traffic updates and turn-by-turn navigation.
Foursquare has become very popular lately. If you are a person in the know, then this is one of those apps for you. When you go to a local restaurant, ride public transportation or simply want to check into a new place, you register the information with Foursquare. You then earn points which can elevate you to a badge owner or mayor. Mayor means you have been to this location the most out of any other member. Participating locations also offer Foursquare members ocassional special discounts.
