THIS WEEKEND IN CHICAGO - THINGS ARE HOPPENING!

It's a great time to be in Chicago since many things are "hoppening" around here, and this Holiday weekend is no exception!

Here's a few pre-Easter family events taking place on Saturday -

Natural Egg Dyeing at Elgin Public Museum (225 Grand Blvd., Elgin).  A variety of natural dyes are used for coloring eggs, such as blueberries, beets, Turmeric (a spice) and much more.  And, while the eggs are drying take that time to explore the museum.  Cost is $2 per participant and no registration is required.  Click here for more information.

Eggstravaganza Spring Egg Hunt (2100 W. Belle Plaine Ave.) in the North Center neighborhood.  The day starts off in Town Square at 4100 N. Damen Ave. where the kids will pick up a map of participating businesses that will be handing out candy and prize filled eggs.  Then at Noon, it's back at Town Square for more festivities with music, refreshments and more.  Click here for more information.

The Easter Bunny Visits comedysportz4kidz! (929 W. Belmont Ave.).  Tons of laughs to be had as the Easter Bunny drops in for a visit at this kids show.  Bring your camera too for some memorable photos.  Click here for more information.

Easter egg hunts and bunny activities abound at these Chicago Park District spots -

Berger Park Cultural Center located at 6205 N. Sheridan Rd.

Clarendon Park Community Center located at 4501 N. Clarendon Ave.

Minuteman Park located at 5940 S. Central Ave.

Loyola Park located at 1230 W. Greenleaf Ave.

It's time to overindulge yourself!  Especially after 40 days of self-restraint!!  Here's a short list of the many Sunday Easter brunches and buffets in the Chicagoland area - Dig In!

10pin Bowling Lounge:  two seatings, 11:00 a.m. & 2:00 p.m. at this River North spot.  Enjoy a brunch buffet that includes bowling for the entire family and prizes for the kids.  Click here to learn more about this special event.

Ann Sather:  both the Belmont Avenue and Clark Street locations will be serving up holiday dinners in lieu of their typical Swedish and American specialties.  However, their signature breakfast items will be available at 7:00 a.m.  Click here for more information on their menus.

Brasserie Jo:  choose a traditional French dish from their a la carte brunch menus -- one for adults, one for kids.  Complimentary kids entertainment and activities will also be provided in the Salon.  Click here for more information.

CityGate Grille (Naperville):  enjoy a brunch buffet prepared by executive chef David Sapp.  Kids can also have their photo taken with real baby bunnies, courtesy of Jill's Portraits, between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.  Click here for more information.

Dunlays on the Square:  bring in your church bulletin for 15% off your bill!  Easter specials will be available along with their regular menu.  Click here for more information.

Luxbar:  their a la carte brunch menu also includes a visit by the Easter Bunny and an Egg Hunt for the kids!  Click here for more information.

I could go on and on here with a list of restaurants, but then you won't be able to make-up your mind.  In fact, there are so many "hoppenings" Easter will have come and gone by the time you finish reading everything!  So, on that note -

HAVE AN "EGG-CITING" EASTER!
