Sue MossIts time once again to honor the "egg", and let's not forget the "bunny", at one, or all, of this weekend's following family-friendly activities --

It's the 7th Annual Spring Egg-Stravaganza this Saturday, from 8:30 a.m. to Noon, at Soldier Field.  There's a brunch in the United Club, an interactive show by Radio Disney, and a chance for the kids to scavenge for "eggs" and participate in the free candy grab.  An RSVP is required for the brunch, so don't delay in reserving your spot, click here now.

Next are several Chicago Park District festivities, which are -

The Egg Hunt at Holstein Park, located at 2200 N. Oakley.  This event is free, with "bunny" activities included.  Click here for more information.

The Egg Hunt at Mayfair Park, located at 4550 W. Sunnyside.  This event is $3.00 per child, with "bunny" activities included.  However, if you wish to join the "bunny" for lunch, the cost is $7.00 per child and $5.00 per adult.  Click here for more information.

Lunch with the Bunny at Kilbourn Park & Organic Green House, located at 3501 N. Kilbourn.  The cost for this event is $10.00 per child, $5.00 per adult (lunch only).  Besides having lunch with the "bunny" and scavenging for "egg" treats, face painting, games, prizes and plenty of photo ops (bring your own camera) will be provided.  Click here for more information.

The Eggstravaganza at Chase Park, located at 4701 N. Ashland.  This event is free, with "bunny" activities included.  Click here for more information.

And most of all, lets not forget our four-pawed buddies at the 7th Annual Doggie Egg Hunt at Horner Park, located at 2741 W. Montrose in the Albany Park neighborhood.  This event is $5.00 per dog, which includes a scavenge hunt for Fido-friendly treats by all dogs in attendance, as well as a spring bonnet parade for dogs wearing bonnets!  And, don't forget your photo op with the "bunny" (available for purchase).  Click here for more information.

A few Chicago suburban festivities you might want to consider are -

The Flashlight Egg Hunt in Arlington Heights, to be held at Heritage Park on Wednesday, March 31st.  Pre-registration is encouraged, so click here for more details.

The Flashlight Egg Hunt in Naperville, to be held at Knoch Knolls Park on Thursday, April 1st.  Search for prize-filled "eggs" under the stars, and remember to bring your flashlight!  Registration is required, so click here for more details.

The Underwater EGGstravaganza in Schaumburg, at The Water Works, on Thursday, April 1st.  Not only will you hunt for "eggs" underwater but you'll be able to take a swim with the "bunny" as well and much more.  Registration is required, so click here for more details.

The Aqua Egg Hunt in Bartlett, to be held at Splash Central on Friday, April 2nd.  Children will be divided into groups at different areas of the pool for collecting "eggs" in the water.  Afterwards, they can stay to swim and meet Navigator, Splash Central's mascot.  Registration is required, so click here for more details.

Finally, there's the Easter Carnival and Chocolate Factory Open House this Sunday at the Long Grove Confectionery Company.  This is a wonderful event for the entire family, but especially for the chocolate lovers!  And who isn't one?  Click here for more information.
