THIS WEEKEND IN CHICAGO - TAKING IT BACK INDOORS!
Sue MossWith the onset of cold, rainy, snowy, dreary weather taking hold this weekend, Chicagoans will most likely be taking it back indoors again.  And, we couldn't have chosen a more appropriate weekend to do just that!

Here's why -

It's March Madness time!  For those of you who have no clue what this is, it's the NCAA Tournament, you know, college basketball, the Big Ten and all that stuff.

Anyway, for those of you who live and die by March Madness, here's a list of a few of the many bars hosting March Madness at -

The Coach House located in the Lakeview neighborhood at 950 W. Wolfram Street.  They have 11 flat screen TVs along with drink specials.  Also, select four coaches and submit your ballot for a chance to win a $10 gift certificate for a return visit every time one of your selected coaches wins a game.  Click here for more information.

District Bar located in the River North neighborhood at 170 W. Ontario Street.  They have over 40 flat screen TVs along with food and drink specials.  Get 15% off your check by submitting a bracket.  Gift cards will be given to those for the best picks in each round.  Click here for more information.

The Fifty/50 located in the East Village/Ukrainian Village neighborhood at 2047 W. Division Street.  They have 18 flat screen TVs along with an appetizer and drink specials.  Win a private party for 30 people, a $100 gift certificate or other prizes by completing a bracket at the bar.  Click here for more information.

Social Twenty-Five located in the River North neighborhood at 25 W. Hubbard Street.  Watch the games on 18 HDTVs.  Bar opens 30 minutes before tip-off.  Click here for more information.

Kincade's located at 950 W. Armitage Avenue.  Cheer on the Kansas Jayhawks, the #1 seed in the Midwest, especially if Kansas is your alma mater.  Click here for more information.

Gamekeepers Tavern & Grill located at 1971 N. Lincoln Avenue.  Cheer on Syracruse, the #1 seed in the West,  especially if Syracruse is your alma mater.  Click here for more information.

Kendall's Pub located at 2263 N. Lincoln Avenue.  Cheer on the Kentucky Wildcats, the #1 seed in the East, especially if Kentucky is your alma mater.  Click here for more information.

Sedgwick's Bar & Grill located at 1935 N. Sedgwick Avenue.  Cheer on Duke, the #1 seed in the South, especially if Duke is your alma mater.  Click here for more information.

Finally, don't fret, I didn't forget about those who have no interest whatsoever in March Madness, nor have these establishments -

The Travel & Adventure Show takes place this weekend at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont at 5555 N. River Road.  Over 250 booths will have information on domestic and international vacation destinations, along with seminars, scuba diving and a rock climbing wall.  There also will be some special guests, so click here to get all the details.

The Chicago Botanic Garden in Glencoe at 1000 Lake Cook Road will have over 20 vendors from the U.S., Colombia and Ecuador displaying and selling rare species and hybrids at their Casacdes of OrchidsClick here for more information.

See!  Staying indoors isn't all that bad when you have something FUN to do!!  I see a vacation in my future, do you?
