TECHNOLOGY TIPS - MINORITY REPORT MEETS EATING OUT
It's the first day of winter and what better way than to celebrate at Morton's this afternoon between 5-6pm. Both locations (1050 N. State Street and 65 E. Wacker) are offering free mini-cheeseburgers in celebration in honor of its 31st anniversary.
It used to be that when going out for dinner and drinks with friends then a reservation would be made. My group would go out and order some amazing food. Sometimes we couldn't decide so had to wait for a server to return to the table and if the restaurant was busy, whew, what a wait.
Now there's a new restaurant concept that's opened this past weekend called Touch. It's a new interactive bar in Lakeview just west of Ashland on Belmont.
You can go online and reserve a table. Once you reserve your TouchLife table, this is where the fun begins. The touchscreen tables "offer digital entertainment merged with self-service ordering. Touchlife tables are bundled with service and entertainment software applications such as drink ordering (bottle service, mix your own, choose by mood) table to table chat and interactive games."
Not only are there interactive tables but there is also the TouchLife iWall which allows customers to walk up to the screen, place their order, choose their music and play their favorite 3D games. With all sorts of themed nights like Wired Wednesday, g33k sp33k on Thursdays, and Mixology Saturdays, this new technological and dining gem is sure to entertain as well as leave your visitors with memories.
