THIS WEEKEND IN CHICAGO - WELCOME TO AUTUMN!
Sue MossIf you haven't noticed, take a closer look.  There are signs of autumn everywhere with this weekend being no exception.  Check out some of these fall festivities as we "welcome autumn" to Chicago - officially on Tuesday, September 22nd.

Today is the last day for this annual party at Federal Plaza Square (219 S Dearborn St.) in the Loop - Berghoff Oktoberfest.  This is no typo.  Berghoff's has reopened and is serving up some German food and beer along with providing live music.  Click here for times and entertainment lineup.

And, of course, we can't celebrate fall without these -

Apple Fest, Giddings Plaza (4731 N. Lincoln Ave.) in the Lincoln Square neighborhood featuring apple tastings, a farmers market, a sidewalk sale, live music and more.  Click here for more information.

Harvest Jam, Queen of Angels Church (2333 W. Sunnyside Ave.) in the Lincoln Square neighborhood.  There's plenty going on at this outdoor festival - apple pie baking contest, a chili cook-off, food vendors, live music, karaoke and much more.  Click here for more information.

Land Shark Lager Oyster Fest, at Damen Avenue and Roscoe Street (2000 W. Roscoe St.) in the Roscoe Village neighborhood (formerly known as the Guinness Oyster Fest).  So, get your fresh-shucked oysters and pints of Land Shark Lager here!  Many other activities taking place as well, so click here to check it out.

Musky Fest, Will's Northwoods Inn (3030 N. Racine Ave.) in the Lakeview neighborhood will again be celebrating all things Wisconsin, now in their 18th year!  And don't forget ladies, at 10:00 p.m., you can be crowned as the Musky Queen.  Click here for more details.

Finally, in its second year, the Chicago's Historic Route 66 Classic Car Show will be held this Sunday in the Pilsen/Little Village neighborhoods at 3827 W. Ogden Ave.  If you're into classics, custom and/or race cars, this is a must attend event!  Click here for more information.

Do you feel the chill in the air?  Brrrr . . .

BTW, Chicago Bears home opener is this Sunday vs. the Pittsburgh Steelers - Where will you be?
