LOGAN SQUARE

This is just too humorous not to share with everyone.  Coming this Friday night at the Congress Theater is Nacho Libre and Mucho Burlesque aka L.A.'s Lucha VaVoom.

Offering a combination of masked Mexican wrestling (in Nacho Libre form), retro burlesque in between matches and humor from Blaine Capatch (of note Mind of Mencia and MadTV) this is sure to be one night of great entertainment.

LAKEVIEW

For some it's therapy, for others it's necessity.  I just call it shopping.

This Thursday is Third Thursdays on Southport Avenue.  There will be strolling musicians, local artists painting the scene and a few more surprises from local businesses.

LOOP

It's time to put on the lederhosen and enjoy some German hospitality.  Starting today through Friday, Berghoff Restaurant is hosting their 24th Annual Oktoberfest in Federal Plaza.

Starting at 11 a.m. and ending at 9 p.m. daily, don't miss out on this Chicago tradition.  The Johnny Wagner Band will play each day during the lunch hour including other evening entertainment.

GOLD COAST

Cityfront Place was placed on the market yesterday by Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Co.  This move could awaken the downtown multi-family (i.e. apartment) investment market from a two-year slumber.

EVANSTON

In a move to keep local residents more informed and aware of what's happening in the city council meetings, Evanston officials agreed to move their meetings and replays to live streaming over the Internet.

This would allow residents to not only watch over Web but also make comments.  It also gives non-residents the opportunity to learn more before joining the community as well as provide access for those who are not able.
