THIS WEEKEND IN CHICAGO - A “HOW TO” CHICAGO WEEKEND!

Start your Friday with one of the following neighborhood festivals -

Edison Park Fest 2009 - Edison Park Metra Station (6730 N. Olmsted Avenue)

This free event not only features the usual neighborhood fest activities including live music, but also a parade on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. and a dog show on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.  Click here for dates, times and music lineup.

North Side Summerfest - Lincoln and Belle Plaine Avenues (4050 N. Lincoln Avenue)

This North Center neighborhood fest is hosting its third annual food and drink vendors, live music, and arts & crafts as well.  A $5 donation gets you in.  Click here for dates, time and music lineup.

Windy City Ribs Festival - Union Park (1501 W. Randolph Street)

This West Loop neighborhood fest speaks for itself!  Don't miss the ribs cook-off and live music being provided as well.  Click here for dates, times, music lineup and price.

Chicago Air & Water Show - North Avenue Beach (1600 N. Lake Shore Drive)

This is a free, must attend event in the Lincoln Park neighborhood!  In its 51st year, this year's show has combined the air and water portions into one continuous show.  Click here for more information.

Oak Street Beachstro - Oak Street Beach (1001 N. Lake Shore Drive)

Chicago Turkish World Festival - Navy Pier (600 E. Grand Avenue)

Terror in the Aisles 2 - Portage Theater (4050 N. Milwaukee Avenue)
