THIS WEEKEND IN CHICAGO - PLENTY TO EXPLORE!

Not sure what to do this weekend? Well, I don't either. So have a nice weekend and I'll be back next week!
Just Kidding!! I bet you were getting all nervous.
Actually, I was having a bit of difficulty on choosing what to write about, which led me to getting bored, and when I get bored I start to explore, and stumbled on the Chicago Neighborhood Tours.
These tours meet at the Chicago Cultural Center, located at 77 East Randolph Street, range from three to five hours long and may include either light refreshments or a lunch. Tour prices range from $20 to $50, with a $5.00 discount for seniors and students on selected tours.
So, explore the cuisine, ethnicity and history of one of the following tours, or all of them, if you prefer; however, please click on the link above for the exact dates and times since they vary throughout the year for each tour, and of course, reservations are recommended since the tours sell out fast, especially during Chicago's tourist season!
Neighborhood Tours (approximately four hours long; light refreshments provided). There are 12 different neighborhood tours offered, which include Albany Park, Beverly, Devon Avenue, Great Parks of Chicago, Historic Bronzeville, Hyde Park and Kenwood, Land of Lincoln, Little Italy, Pilsen and Little Village, Pullman Historic District, South Shore Neighborhoods, and Wicker Park and Bucktown.
Special Interest Tours (approximately 4 ½ to 5 ½ hours long; lunch provided). Included in this group are the Burnham Centennial, Chicago's Magnificent Churches, Great Cemeteries of Chicago, The Great Chicago Fire, Greek Chicago, Irish Chicago, Literary Chicago, Polish Chicago, Taste of the Neighborhoods, and The White City.
Summertime Sampler Tours (approximately three hours long). Please note, there are no discounts, lunch or refreshments offered with these tours, which include "Art Around Town," "Greek Town, Chinatown and Little Italy," "Humboldt Park, Wicker Park and Ukrainian Village," "Little Italy, Pilsen and Little Village," and "Uptown, Andersonville and Lincoln Square."
By the way, the Chicago Cultural Center offers free guided tours of the building, which houses the world's largest Tiffany stained-glass dome, on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 1:15 p.m. but are limited to the first 20 people. However, private group tours of ten or more can be arranged on weekdays by appointment by calling 312-744-6630.
Get out and explore the City's Neighborhoods -- it has plenty to offer! Never be bored again!!
P.S. - The Cubs are hosting the Cardinals this weekend at Wrigley Field.
