TECHNOLOGY TIPS – A GREAT METHOD FOR TRACKING EXPENSES JUST IN TIME FOR TAX DAY
Tax time is always a stressful time in most people's
lives. For a lot of people it means,
going to the large bag or garbage bin full of expense receipts and going through them one by one. These people, of course, are the same ones
who have no time for doing a bank reconciliation.
In this day and age of social
media, there is now a way for you to email
and Tweet your expenses in real time.
It's a newer platform called Texthog.
Just recently Texthog and Twitter joined forces so you can send
information via your Tweets.
Currently in beta, the program is a web-based "expense
tracking tool, designed to help you keep a watchful
eye on your spending. You can post transactions and expense items
on-the-go, set up budgets and reminders,
generate expense reports and export
your data to a number of other programs."
The programs it communicates with are Quicken, Excel and
QuickBooks.
If you have already completed your taxes, this is a great
way to start getting ready for 2009 taxes.
If you haven't it may be a quicker way for you to get your taxes under
control in an easy way.
