TECHNOLOGY TIPS - PEEK MOBILE EMAIL DEVICE, SOMETIMES LESS IS MORE
I have to admit that I have not used this particular device as yet. I get some great deals emailed to me every week from Costco and I've seen the Peek on there now for the past two weeks.
I decided before I even look into purchasing this device, it would make more sense to get some information.
I must shyly admit that I do not own an iPhone or Blackberry or other
significantly robust mobile device. I like my simple phone where I can
text and make phone calls. I am by no means a techno-phone, but you could call me a purist at heart.
Welcome to the world of the Peek, which has been reviewed by Wired Magazine (and one of their wish list items for 2008) among others. The fact that Wired put this device on their wish list definitely got my attention not to mention the sheer simplicity of this device.
The Peek is a mobile email device. That's is. There are no frills and no add-ons. The thing about this device is that it has an incredibly easy interface. You enter your email address and password (and yes you can enter multiple email addresses). You now get your email on this device and can respond when you want.
I like the idea of the Peek as a device that is simple and allows me to keep my email separate from my phone. For those of you who like simplicity, this is definitely the gadget for you.
