TECHNOLOGY TIPS - A GREAT NEW APP FOR OUTLOOK
A lot of times when I'm trying to set up a time to meet with friends or clients, I have to run through two to three different windows to get to my Outlook Calendar. It's more annoying than anything for me, but I recently found this application and wanted to share my great news.
So the name is not all that creative. It's called Outlook on the Desktop. Think of it like a desk calendar but it's on your monitor instead of your actual desk. If you're anything like me, you usually have papers on your desk so rummaging underneath them all can be quite a challenge.
The nice thing about this program is that you get all the functionality of the Microsoft Outlook calendar with what is called the "calendar object" permanently pinned to your desktop. With the calendar always on your desktop, no windows get stuck behind it which we all know can be frustrating.
