I don't know about the rest of you, but I sure am tired of all the doom and gloom news on practically every channel these days! So, I decided to check out some fun things to do this weekend away from home, and the T.V., without having to spend an "arm and a leg." So, let's get started.
Here's your chance to dine at one, or several, of Chicago's 130 participating fine eateries during Chicago Restaurant Week held at various locations throughout the city. Looking for more excitement? Well, you're in luck since this coming Tuesday, February 24th, is Fat Tuesday, which means some of the Chicago neighborhood bars and clubs will be recreating a New Orleans Mardi Gras celebration with food and drink specials. A few of those are -

Beadquest 2009 Mardi Gras Crawl kicks off and ends at Murphy's Bleachers, also located in the Lakeview neighborhood at 3655 N. Sheffield Avenue, and will continue on to seven more Wrigleyville bars.
