THIS WEEKEND IN CHICAGO - WRIGLEYVILLE, CHICAGO PARKS AND MORE

Happy
New Year! This is going to be a quiet weekend after all of the mid-week
parties and bashes. However, there are still some fun things to do that I
would like to share.
Want
to keep the spirit of Christmas alive? The Christmas Gift Exchange At Cubby Bear
Wrigleyville is the perfect place to channel your 'inner Santa' one more time.
Just drop by 1059 West Addison Street in Chicago and bring any new gift
that can be re-gifted to the homeless charities in our community.
When
you go between January 1st and January
31st, you will receive a bar gift certificate worth $15.00 or more. For
more information, click
here.
For
those of us who are serious about kicking off the New Year by honoring our resolutions to get in shape or lose weight,
why not take advantage of the Free Fitness Weeks offered by select Chicago Park Districts.
From
January 2nd through the 16th, visit one of the 60 fitness centers located in Chicago's Parks and work out on the treadmills,
cross trainers, stationary bikes, weights and more. For a nominal fee,
you can take a class in Kickboxing, Pilates, Yoga, Aerobics and many more.
Some
locations include: Amundsen Park, Calumet Park, Daley Bicentennial Plaza, Washington Park . Find other locations near you at www.chicagoparkdistrict.com
And
if relaxing and meditating are on your list of New Years Resolutions, try a
free introduction to Yoga class on January
3rd from 2 to 3:00 PM at Bloom
Yoga Studio located at 4663 N Rockwell Street, Chicago. You will learn the
basic Yoga positions and how Yoga can be beneficial to you.
Go
to Bloom
Yoga Studio to learn more.
Whatever
you do this weekend, enjoy!
