JEFF'S CHICAGO SPORTS BLOG - CHICAGO BEARS MUST WIN FOR CHANCE AT 2008 NFL PLAYOFFS!
ATTENTION: DIE HARD CHICAGO BEARS FANS! 
An important weekend of NFL football begins with Saturday night's game between the Baltimore Ravens and the Dallas Cowboys. It's a crucial match up for both teams. Bears fans want the Ravens to win and also need some other things to happen to clear a path to the playoffs.
Sunday's game featuring the Atlanta Falcons and Minnesota Vikings is critical! The Bears need the Falcons to win. Otherwise, the Vikings will clinch the NFC North Division and all but eliminate the Bears from postseason.
If the Falcons win, the Bears would have to win on Monday night versus the Green Bay Packers at Soldier Field. The last time these two teams hooked up the Packers destroyed the Bears in Green Bay by a score of 37-3. So, the Bears would have the advantage of going into this game knowing that they are still alive but they'll have to overcome the beating they took from the Pack last go around.
Should Baltimore win, and the Bears beat Green Bay, the Bears would like to see the following happen: Detroit beats New Orleans, San Diego beats Tampa Bay and Philadelphia beats Washington. These outcomes would put the Chicago Bears in the best possible position headed into the final week of the regular season, right after Christmas.
A lot has to happen to send the Chicago Bears into the post season this year. Unfortunately, the Bears losses early in the season to Carolina, Atlanta, and Tampa Bay put them in a deep hole. They now have to win back-to-back games at season's end to even have a chance at post-season play in 2008.
