THIS WEEKEND IN CHICAGO - HOLIDAY SEASON KICK-OFFS

Jennifer Garrity - Dean's Team Customer Service CoordinatorWith Thanksgiving around the corner, the traditional Christmas shopping season will soon begin.  Whether you want to get a head start or see what's in store, why not head downtown this weekend.  There is so much to do and see.

The Chicago Toy and Game (Chi-TAG) Fair is located at Navy Pier Festival Hall B is going to be held this weekend.

It is the only non-hobby toy and game fair open to the public in our nation.  It will be celebrating it's sixth year this year.  The two day event will allow you to preview, play and purchase the year's hottest new toys and games.

The Fair showcases hundreds of companies and thousands of products from around the world.   When you are not shopping try some raffles, win some prizes, enjoy live entertainment, and the free gaming areas.

Tournaments and contests such as The Young Inventors' Challenge and live game shows will also be featured.  It promises to offer fun for everyone.

Chi-TAG is held at Navy Pier's Festival Hall B on Saturday and Sunday, November 21st and 22nd, 2008 from 10am-6pm daily. The cost is $10 per adult, $5 per child 13 and under, free for ages 3 and under and scouts in uniform. $10 off parking coupons available at event. For more information please click here.

The holiday season doesn't really begin until the Magnificent Mile Lights Festival has lit up all it's beautiful displays and Santa, who has taken some time to stop by, has waived hello from his sleigh in the parade on Michigan Ave. from Oak Street to the Chicago River.

The Greater North Michigan Avenue Association has Chicago's Magnificent Mile transformed into a winter wonderland for the 16th Annual Magnificent Mile Lights Festival to officially kick-off the season.

All weekend long the sights, sounds and tastes of The Magnificent Mile Lights Festival will entertain you and offer something for the entire family to enjoy.  See details by clicking here.
