THIS WEEKEND IN CHICAGO - HOLIDAY SEASON KICK-OFFS
With Thanksgiving around the corner, the traditional Christmas shopping
season will soon begin. Whether you want to get a head start or see what's
in store, why not head downtown this weekend. There is so much to do and
see.
The Chicago Toy and Game (Chi-TAG) Fair is located at Navy Pier Festival Hall
B is going to be held this weekend.
It is the only
non-hobby toy and game fair open to the public in our nation. It will be
celebrating it's sixth year this year. The two day event will allow
you to preview, play and purchase the year's hottest new toys and
games.
The Fair showcases hundreds of companies and thousands of products
from around the world. When you are not shopping try some raffles,
win some prizes, enjoy live entertainment, and the free gaming areas.
Tournaments and contests such as The Young Inventors' Challenge and live
game shows will also be featured. It promises to offer fun for
everyone.
Chi-TAG is held at
Navy Pier's Festival Hall B on Saturday and Sunday, November 21st and 22nd, 2008
from 10am-6pm daily. The cost is $10 per adult, $5 per child 13 and under, free

The holiday season doesn't really begin until the Magnificent Mile Lights
Festival has lit up all it's beautiful displays and Santa, who has
taken some time to stop by, has waived hello from his sleigh in
the parade on Michigan Ave. from Oak
Street to the Chicago River.
The Greater
North Michigan Avenue Association has Chicago's Magnificent
Mile transformed into a winter wonderland for the 16th Annual Magnificent
Mile Lights Festival to officially kick-off the season.
