TECHNOLOGY TIPS - WINDOWS 7 ANNOUNCED
Well, Bill Gates is at it again.
Microsoft Corp unveiled the new Microsoft Windows 7
operating system on Tuesday. The new Windows operating
system will replace Vista in January 2010.
Microsoft Windows 7 features a customized task bar to let users store
the applications they use most. The desktop has a new look and a set of
features optimized for laptops. The new OS also has touch-screen
capabilities which lets users move icons and run commands without a
mouse.
Windows 7 boots up faster than Vista and includes some of the
best features.
A new Home Group has been added to quickly set up home networks, is the same architecture and is much improved. For instance, Windows users can play music
located on another computer in the network and then stream it to a
stereo elsewhere.
Microsoft Windows 7, while replacing Vista, will be fully
compatible with any computer that runs Vista and programs that worked on
Windows XP but failed to run on Vista.
Microsoft said it fixed the memory problem in Windows 7.
