THIS WEEKEND IN CHICAGO - HAVE A SPOOKTACULAR WEEKEND
This weekend in Chicago promises to be a "spooktacular" one!
It seems whenever Halloween falls on a Friday, it becomes a weekend long celebration. And true to form, Chicago, along with its surrounding neighborhoods, will host a wide variety of Halloween events. So, without further adieu, let's get started.
What better way to kick-off Halloween than with the 12th Annual North Halsted Street Halloween Parade, located at Halsted and Melrose Streets. If you wish to participate in the parade, which begins at 7:00 p.m., registration will be between 5:30 p.m. and 6:45 p.m. at Spin. A costume contest for people and pets, which includes $5,000 in cash and prizes, along with live entertainment will continue at Halsted and Roscoe Streets right after the parade. Click here for more information.
Needless to say, there are a ton of parties to be had in this City, so I'll just mention a few here -
The Heroes & Villains: Metromix Halloween Party at Harry Caray's Tavern in the Wrigleyville neighborhood (3551 N. Sheffield) will present its comic-themed party on Friday from 9:00 p.m. to Midnight. The $30 ticket includes a food & drink package, music by DJ White Shadow and a costume contest with prizes. Click here for more details.

Last but not least, a little pricier but for a good cause, The American Epilepsy Outreach Foundation's Halloween Bash to be held at Harry Caray's Tavern, again in the Wrigleyville neighborhood, this Saturday from 8:30 p.m. to Midnight. Click here for more information.
If the Bar & Club scene is too overwhelming for you, why not visit the Trails of Terror in Peterson Park located at 5801 N. Pulaski in the North Center/Sauganash neighborhoods this Friday, 6:00 p.m.-9:30 p.m. Click here for details.
Or, how about taking in the 10 Dark Knights at 10 featuring Christian Bale and Heath Ledger this weekend at the IMAX Theater at Navy Pier (600 E. Grand). Click here for tickets.
Now, I don't know about you, but after all this weekend "ghoulish" partying, the Halloween Hangover Brunch at O'Donovan's (2100 W. Irving Park Road) on Sunday (10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.) sure sounds pretty good to me. Click here for more important details.
See you on Sunday in the all-you-can-eat buffet line!!
