KATHY'S HOME & GARDEN TIPS - FALL TO-DO LIST
Kathleen Weaver Zech - Dean's Team Director of Buyers Agency ServicesTake advantage of the cooler weather and weed your garden now. Use weed control on areas that are especially troublesome.

Rake and blow the leaves off the lawn. Leaving the leaves on the grass is not good for the lawn.

Put down a good winterizer fertilizer. This will help the grass endure the cold Chicago winter and have a good start in the spring.

Put away your outdoor furniture. Leaving seat cushions out to get rained and snowed on will definitely shorten their life.

Clean off the deck and porches around your house. Sweep out underneath and above.  Scrub with a general household cleaner and hose down.

Make sure any outside drains are clean and clear. These drains keep water from getting into the house. With all the rain in the fall we need to know all the gutters, downspouts and drains are functioning properly.

Next time inside to-do list!
