Sue Moss - General Manager, Manager of Unbeatable Service for Dean's Team CHICAGO!Fall is just around the corner but I wouldn't count summer out just yet!  It looks as though this weekend in Chicago will continue to have a "variety" of things to do for whatever strikes your fancy.  And, I do believe, the temps around here will be rebounding back to summer's warmth.

I'm going to get the most obvious out of the way first since Chicago is a "huge" sports town.  Our first place Chicago Cubs will be wrapping up their regular season here at Wrigley Field on Sunday, September 21st, against the St. Louis Cardinals.  And, the Chicago Bears home opener kicks-off at Noon at Soldier Field on Sunday as well against the Tampa Bay Bucs.  As for you Chicago White Sox fans, their last home game of the regular season will be played on Sunday, September 28th, against the Cleveland Indians.  Go Cubbies, Go Bears - Good Luck White Sox!!

Moving on to the traditional festivities, check one or two or all of these out -

If you haven't had a chance to stop by the Berghoff Oktoberfest yet, I suggest you do so today since it's the last day for this outdoor celebration in the Loop at the Federal Plaza Square (219 S. Dearborn St.).  Click here for more details and the music lineup.

The fourth annual Lincoln Park Fall Festival will kick-off today at 6:00 p.m. at the corners of Southport and Clybourn Avenues in the Lincoln Park neighborhood featuring food and beer vendors along with live rock music.  A $5 donation benefits the Lincoln Park Chamber of Commerce.  Please note this neighborhood celebration will wrap-up on Saturday at 11:00 p.m.  Click here for more information.

This next one is right up my alley!  The Second Annual Winefest Chicago located in the North Center neighborhood at Lincoln and Berenice Avenues (3840 N. Lincoln Ave.).  At $2 per tasting, one can sample about 25 international vintages as well as purchasing a keepsake wine glass for only $10.  Of course there is more being featured than just wine at this three-day winefest, so click here for more details.

Hey, don't want to forget this one - the Eli's Cheesecake Festival kicking-off on Saturday at 9:00 a.m. and wrapping up on Sunday at 5:00 p.m.  This 12th annual event not only features free samples of cheesecake, but also will host a cheesecake-eating contest at 3:30 p.m. on both days.  This festival is being held in the Dunning neighborhood at 6701 W. Forest Preserve Drive.  How much cheesecake is enough?  Click here for more information and on the entertainment being provided.

Finally, for something a little out of the ordinary, I came across these -

The Musky Fest.  Now, I know you're wondering what this is.  Well, I'll tell you.  It's an indoor-outdoor party held at Will's Northwoods Inn (3030 N. Racine Ave.) in the Lakeview neighborhood.  This fest will be held on Saturday only from 11:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.  And, if you really want to know what this fest is all about, click here.

How about a good old-fashioned carnival complete with rides, games, a beer garden with live music, food, raffle and much more?  Well then, the St. Helen Festival is just for you.  Click here for all the details.

As I said, I wouldn't let go of summer yet!
