TECHNOLOGY TIPS - ANNOUNCING THE NEW IPOD REFRIGERATOR
Yep, you read it correctly.
Gorenje signed a license agreement with Apple
for the use of their technology in Gorenje refrigerators. Boasting the "Made for iPod" logo, this new freezer-fridge was launched at IFA 2008 in Berlin. This latest technology features a docking station that
enables charging the iPod, playing back video and music through
built-in speakers, and connecting to the world-wide-web, if wireless
connection is available in the kitchen.
With the wi-fi interface you have the ability to search,
browse, or download contents from the internet, not to mention being able to listen to music, watch TV shows, movies, or video podcasts. The fridge has built-in speakers and video is displayed on the iPod screen.
Gorenje also announced their web portal, called iGorenje,
which will offer various contents related to cooking and other
household tasks.
