OUR FAVORITE RECIPES - PLANNING A GREAT PICNIC
I think it's summer, FINALLY!
I decided this week why not put together a great picnic and spend time with family or friends. Probably the most important thing when planning your feast is a good food chest or cooler. Now if it's just you and a significant other, then you obviously don't need anything big. If you frequently picnic however, be sure to get a couple different sized coolers so you can accommodate different shapes of food. Don't forget to separate the warm from the cold dishes - definitely will make life a lot easier.
Best tip ever: Put your list on your refrigerator a couple days before packing the cooler. It would be such an upsetting situation if you got to your picnic and forgot a "main" ingredient.
Rather than bore you with the reasons why, here is a comprehensive list of items/utensils you'll need to make your picnic a smashing success. Of course, a picnic is not a picnic without well packed coolers and following some simple food rules. All of these tips and lists will help make your picnic a rousing success and keep your stress level low so you can enjoy your day.
Trivia Tip: The word picnic comes from the French, pique-nique, which means a fashionable social entertainment where each guest brings an item to contribute to the feast, aka, a potluck.
