TECHNOLOGY NEWS - XBOX 360 KIOSKS GO TO CHILDREN'S HOSPITALS
KIOSKS HEADED TO CHILDREN'S HOSPITALS ACROSS THE US
Today I thought I'd share one of the more positive things going on with Xbox.
Companions in Courage and Microsoft have partnered to bring "hundreds" of Xbox 360 kiosks to children's hospitals throughout the United States. The new stations are currently being beta-tested at Stanley Children's Hospital of New York-Presbyterian, Children's Hospital & Regional Medical Center of Seattle and the Children's Hospital of Orange County, California.
The kiosks are customized to be hospital-friendly and contain various child-friendly games. The pre-loaded games are rated E and E10+. They will also contain Y-rated television programs, G-rated movies and the Xbox Live headset/Vision camera for gamers to play on-line.
Each of the kiosks is wired for children across the country to play games with each other. They'll also have the ability to chat while using the Xbox. Right now there's no word where the other kiosks will go besides the current three locations, but definitely feel free to donate to the cause.
