Every time I think about how much I need to protect my information, I'm reminded about using all sorts of different programs that will help keep my system running smoothly and efficiently. Of course, when I first get to this thought I automatically think Spyware (and more unwanted junk, UGH).
Enter CCleaner. First of all, this is a freeware system optimization and privacy tool. Translated that means, this program will clean up all the junk on your computer and WILL NOT put in any Spyware or Adware, which as we know is a great thing.
The purpose of this wonderful program is to help Windows run faster and give you added hard disk space. It cleans up your Internet history, temporary files, cookies, and more. It will clean up the information from Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera, Windows, Registry cleaner, and Third-party applications like Media Player, Google Toolbar.
