Jeff Ardito - Dean's Team Listing Specialist!CUBS AND WHITE SOX GEAR UP FOR SEASON

Yes, it remains a focus of mine.  The baseball season is less than a month away and I couldn't be happier.  I know that much of that has to do with our inclement weather here in Chicago as well as the optimism I have for both sides of town.

The Cubs and White Sox have used the off season to make terrific additions and the promise of that combined with what soon should be sunny skies and the scent of hotdogs and peanuts is very appealing.

Yes, the Cubs have the distraction of the team being sold and whether or not it will remain as Wrigley Field - thanks Sam Zell.  You have done the impossible - many Cub fans are saying that we were all better off with the Chicago Tribune as the owners.

The White Sox have a strong nucleus and their biggest question mark revolves around the starting pitching.  If the starters can be effective they will be a contender in arguably the toughest division in baseball.  But, the Sox have a little bit of a distraction too and that is Manager, Ozzie Guillen.  About two weeks, Ozzie stated he would be Ozzie again and you have to wonder what that means but one thing is for sure, this season will be an important one for the managerial career of Guillen.

It's too early in the year to talk about the Bears and the Bulls and Blackhawks have been mediocre at best.  Let's go baseball season, us sports fans need you!
