VOTE EARLY, THROUGH JANUARY 31ST, ACROSS CHICAGO, THROUGHOUT ILLINOIS!
EARLY POLLING CENTERS OPEN MONDAY-SATURDAY, INCLUDING MARTIN LUTHER KING DAY!
Voting before the Illinois Primary on February 5th is a new option for voters across Chicago and throughout the State of Illinois this year. Those registered voters desiring to vote early can go to any designated early voting center in the county in which they reside, and can cast the exact ballot they would receive at their local Polling Place on Election Day.
In the City of Chicago, there is an Early Voting Center in each of the city's 50 wards, plus in the Chicago Elections Commission Office, at 69 W. Washington Street, downtown. Voting hours - 9:00AM to 5:00PM, Monday through Saturday. All centers will also be open on Monday, January 21st, even though that day is Martin Luther King Day - a Federal Holiday. Click here for a list of all Chicago Early Voting Centers.
An article in today's Chicago Tribune contains a video on the new Early Voting Program.
The Commission Office downtown will also be open for Sunday early voting - each Sunday morning between 9:00AM and Noon.
Early Voters need bring a photo ID! Unlike Absentee Voting, early voters do not have to declare a reason for voting early. Of course, early voters will not be able to cast a ballot at their local polling places on Election Day.
