TECHNOLOGY TIPS - REDUCE YOUR EMAIL
KEEPING IT ALL ORGANIZED!
I absolutely love this new technology I found over the weekend. I don't know about you, but I am on several (at last count 9) list serves. Most of them are through Yahoo and Google. I like to get my information in digest form. Even by doing that, I still get about 20 emails a day for all the lists I am on. Yes, I'm even a moderator for one of the lists.
It's called Grouply and has several great elements that gives it the possibility of being a viral software in the not too distant future.
Grouply comes to your email once per day with their Grouply Smart Digesttm. The digest summarizes and highlights all the group activity for you so you save a considerable amount of time - up to 80% is the claim. Grouply also offers you the ability to log into your account and view all your groups on their site. No more having to go to various sites with multiple passwords. Everything is kept up to date.
It also incorporates a calendar and will consolidate all functions from your groups where you are a member. This is great if you are involved in several of your groups and want to avoid time conflicts.
Grouply has an interesting option as well using what they call fast, targeted search. You can search by group, message type and (my favorite!) tag. It's a great added benefit to be able to define tags so if you are looking for specific information on a topic of value to you, all you have to do is add the tag.
There is also a bookmarking feature that is great. You read a message and say to yourself that you'll definitely want to reference it again. With this feature, you can bookmark the message and Grouply will store it for future reference.
Finally, with the popularity of social networking, Grouply has incorporated user profiles. You can view a person's profile - as much as the person allows. You can also see popularity on a particular topic. This will tell you who is talking on your list, who has bookmarked a particular topic or which topic has been viewed the most.
And now my favorite, it is a free software.
