LET'S START GETTING ORGANIZED NOW!!!!!! Part 1
With the New Year, I am going to start a series on organizing the house. Streamline cleaning, sorting and storing things around the house. I want to make our lives easier and free from chaos. Let's start with closets.
This is probably better done in the fall and spring, but what better way to spend a gray January afternoon than with your head stuck in a closet? Experts say to limit yourself to an hour with jobs such as these, but once I start pulling out items from the closet I'm not likely to be seen again for at least three hours. You must be brutal! If you have not worn or used an item in 18 months, get rid of it! If it's junk, throw it out. Is it still usable? Donate it. There are many charities, such as The Salvation Army, that will pick-up at your house.
You can use boxes to sort the mess. Label your boxes with the following - throw out, charity, and decision pending. Do not let this last one be an excuse for keeping things you don't need. Like I said, ‘BE BRUTAL."
If you start with a closet at a time you will have them all done by spring. Of course that's just in time for new summer clothing!!!
