THIS WEEKEND IN CHICAGO - SUE'S SANTA SIGHTINGS!
IS IT A BIRD, A PLANE - NO IT'S SANTA CLAUS
One of my fondest memories of the Holidays was going to visit Santa so I could tell him what I wanted for Christmas seeing as how I was always a little angel at that time of year! I could hardly wait until Christmas morning, when low and behold, there it was - the gift I had asked Santa for right under the Christmas tree! He must have bought the story I told him about being a little angel.
As I continue my Holiday shopping, I so enjoy watching the kids sit on Santa's lap excitedly telling him what it is they wish for. Or, in some cases, balling their eyes out! So, I decided to jot down my Santa sightings and thought I would share them with you. Even if you don't have any children, such as myself, seeing Santa is a Holiday tradition.
I first spotted Santa at ZooLights at Lincoln Park Zoo. It was a long day walking around the Zoo and Santa saw that I was tired, so he gave me a lift on his Holiday Express train back to the front gate of the Zoo.
My second spotting of Santa was at Navy Pier at the Family Pavilion Stage. Santa told me that he is there daily from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. through December 23rd. Then it's back to the North Pole to begin loading the sleigh for his various deliveries.
I then decided to go to Macy's to checkout their Holiday windows and step briefly inside to warm up a bit and browse around when to my surprise - you'll never guess who I ran into -- you're right, it was Santa! I'm beginning to think he's following me. Stop by and see Santa, you'll find him in his Cozy Cloud Cottage on the fifth floor.
Since I wasn't quite done with my shopping, I thought I would go to Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg leaving Santa downtown to tend to his business. I was approaching the center of the mall when there he was again. How does he get around so quickly and set up shop. Must be all those elves!
So, I decided to head out in a totally different direction. I went to Yorktown Center & The Shops on Butterfield. There's no way Santa could move that fast. All of a sudden I felt this tap on my shoulder. When I turned around I nearly fainted on the spot. It was Santa!! Now I know he's following me.
Do you think Santa knows I wasn't a little angel after all?
IF YOU HAVE ANY SANTA STORIES, OR ANY OTHER HOLIDAY STORY, I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU.
HO - HO - HO !!!
