Sue Moss - General Manager, Manager of Unbeatable Service for Dean's Team CHICAGO!31 DAYS ‘TIL CHRISTMAS

Now that Thanksgiving is behind us, the official start of Holiday Shopping is upon us once again, kicking off pre-dawn this morning with "Black Friday".  Did you get up at an ungodly hour to stand in line?  Not me, I prefer to sleep in and begin on Saturday.

Chicago, along with its surrounding suburban areas, offers a wide-variety of shopping to be had from indoor mega-malls to outdoor malls to quaint, unique neighborhood shops.  To get you started on your journey, here are a few of my favorite Holiday Shopping spots.

The Magnificent Mile located on Michigan Avenue in downtown Chicago actually kicked-off their holidays last Saturday with The Magnificent Mile Lights Festival.  There are more than 470 stores to begin your Holiday Shopping along one of the greatest avenues in the world.  For more information, click here.

Hometown Holidays in downtown Naperville.  The holiday excitement begins this weekend with the Grand Illumination of twinkling lights and continues with carolers, ice sculptures and the arrival of Santa.  For more details, please visit here.

Woodfield Chicago Northwest not only boasts some of the world's best shopping, but also offers cool attractions and events for everyone in the family, especially those who don't like to shop.  Do you know anyone like that?  Visit here for more information.

Gurnee Mills, located midway between Chicago and Milwaukee, Wisconsin, features hundreds of outlets and specialty stores.  If you go here, you can register to win a $500 shopping spree.  Wouldn't that be awesome!  Not only will you be buying gifts for your family and friends but you can shop for yourself as well!!

I don't know about you but I'm exhausted already and I haven't even stepped foot in one single store yet.  You know, maybe this year I'll just give cash or a gift card instead of fighting the crowds, not finding what I'm looking for, getting blisters on my feet and a backache to boot.  However, if you know the secret to stress-free, successful Holiday Shopping, I would be very interested to hear from you.
