Des Plaines, Top Chef’s Recipe for Stuffing
Stuffing has become a staple at Thanksgiving. If you dine in the comfort of your home, a relative’s, or even go out for dinner, most likely you will be eating stuffing with your dinner. There are an amazing amount of variations of the delicious side dish since it’s beginning that first Thanksgiving in 1621.
Executive Chef Jeff Myers, of Café La Cave in Des Plaines, talks about a special stuffing recipe he created. While growing up in Downers Grove, Chef Jeff and his family never enjoyed turkey at their Thanksgiving meal. But they always enjoyed home-made stuffing!
“We’d have something different every year – crown roast of pork or maybe standing rib roast or ham” said Myers. He worked with family members and took over a restaurant in 2003 from their late mother, Rose, which she founded in 1976. For the recipe chosen just for you, click here.
