BACK-UP OR LOSE IT
Have you ever been the victim of a computer breakdown? I have and let me tell you, the key is to be prepared.
I was sitting at Starbucks pondering the best tips and tricks I can give you that will make your life easier and less stressful. Then I saw a small cup of coffee go flying and land on someone's PDA. I think I actually saw tears in their eyes.
Think about all the different files, music, photos, etc that you have on your computer. Even if you have all the software in the original packaging and the software that came with your computer, how will you ever replace all those iTunes you purchased? (FYI-Starbucks is giving away a free iTunes download every day until November 7th.) And don't forget all those web pages that you have in your favorites.
That's when it came to me. All you have to do is Mozy. Somewhat like the name, it's an easy way to back up all your important computer information. The installation is fairly quick and again, my favorite four-letter word - free.
I wish I could have done this to our ill-fated Cubbies!
