IWONA'S "IN THE KITCHEN" BLOG - SHRIMP PO' BOYS!

 HERE'S A GREAT CAJUN RECIPE FROM IWONA!

 

 Recipe Summary

 Difficulty: Easy

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Cook Time: 3 minutes

Yield: 1 serving

Ingredients:

5 pieces shrimp

2 eggs

2 tomatoes

1/2 cup lettuce

1/2 cup breadcrumbs

Salt and pepper

1 piece French bread

1 tbsp tartar sauce

Canola oil, for deep-frying

Preparation:

Whisk the eggs and add salt and pepper to the breading.

Dip the shrimp in the eggs and dredge in the seasoned bread crumbs.

Deep-fry at 350 F for 2 or 3 minutes or until the shrimp float.

Place shrimp on one side of the French bread; on the other side arrange

the lettuce and tomato. Serve as an open sandwich with tartar sauce on the

side.
