JEFF'S CHICAGO SPORTS BLOG - HAIL KING JAMES!

LE BRON JAMES FINALLY COMES OF AGE!

Jeff Ardito, Dean's Team Real Estate Consulant, Listing Services Specialist

It's a moment in any superstar's rise to the elite when the team he plays on, the team he defeats and the fans all witness clutch performance combined with a superior will to overcome - to win!  A will to control the destiny - to "write" the outcome and LeBron is doing just that.

Although, the Cleveland Cavaliers have yet to eliminate the Detroit Pistons, the fact cannot be denied that the Cavaliers have won three straight games.  The last victory took place in enemy territory and it took two grueling overtimes to decide the outcome.

LeBron scored 48 points, 25 of which were the Cavaliers' final points (LeBron is the first player to score 25 straight points in NBA postseason history).  Now, that's a go-to guy!  With the balance of the series on the line, LeBron was extraordinary against one of the toughest defenses in the NBA.  In addition to his 48 points, LeBron also had nine rebounds, seven assists and two steals - what a performance!

In an age, when the media made LeBron an icon before he ever walked onto an NBA court, LeBron has fulfilled the prophecy of greatness and tomorrow will look to further his legacy with a win at home to advance to the NBA finals.

NEWS UPDATE:  As you know by now, the Cleveland Cavaliers have won the 2007 NBA Eastern Conference Finals Saturday night, with a 98-82 victory over the Detroit Pistons in Game 6 of the series in Cleveland.  LeBron was double-teamed throughout the game, but still managed to finish with 20 points, 14 rebounds, and 8 blocked shots.  The Cavs now advance to the NBA Finals, and meet the San Antonio Spurs Thursday night in San Antonio.
